The Village Park Residents Association (Thornaby) has been going a number of years and has recently had an injection of new active members with new ideas to help and improve both the area and the lives of the people in it.
The Village area has a very diverse housing structure with old “council” housing alongside both pre war and modern “private” housing. The oldest housing in the town is on the “village” green which plays a major part in the Village area as it hosts the 11th century church of St. Peter Ad Vincula
