27.01.2012 Wild Flower Seeds
Wild Flower seeds ordered from the RHS for our next Wild Flower Meadow planting session in April.

23.01.2012 Tree Planting
VPRA invited to take part in tree planting events around the area. Meeting in February to decide where to plant.

20.01.2012 Early Spring Flowers
The mild winter so far has brought crocus out on the village green opposite St. Peters Church. 6 weeks earlier than last year.

Stockton Council organise Heathy Easy Walks every Tuesday,meet Thornaby Medical Centre 11.15 am. Please have a try,will do you good. Healthy Walking

16.01.2012 Traffic Calming
The traffic calming measures on Thorntree Road are being modified with a number of the humps being taken out and replaced or removed completely.

15.01.2012 Broken Windows
A number of windows have been broken over the past month in Thorntree Road opposite the park gates. Only one was reported directly to Police. Our local PCSO Michelle reports back to VPRA that Police are looking into the problem.

14.01.2012 Motorbikes
Reports of motorbikes using the Village Park reported to Police. Nothing reported to them previously and no apparent damage to the park at the moment.

12.01.2012 Vandalism Richardson Road Area
A number of nuisance vandalism occurrences have been reported to Police over the past couple of days, Tristar also involved as culprits may live in Tristar properties.

09.01.2012 Quad Bikes
Several reports and complaints over the past week about a “family of quadbikers”. Spotted riding up Thornaby road without crash helmets and on the wrong side of the road. They have also been up onto the Horseshoe Bend riding around the newly formed artworks.

09.01.2012 Black Bobbies Field
Stonework is now in place around the fish pond on Black Bobbies, take care on the approaches. Footpaths are deeply rutted from the contractors JCB.

08.01.2012 Horseshoe Bend
Work has finished on new paths through Basselton Woods and on the Horseshoe bend, makes the area more accessible.There are new cross over bridges and art work style stone areas on the Horseshoe bend.

02.01.2012 Early Spring Flowers
Crocus are flowering on the Village Green opposite St Peters Church. Noticed them first just after Christmas.The earliest they have flowered here by at least 2 months.

02.01.2012 Lower Green
We are still keeping on at the artists and contractors to repair the Lower Green after last months damage. Residents and visitors are passing comment daily that it is a mess and a blight on our hidden gem.
