27.11.2008 . At the recent meeting of the Eastern Area Partnership Board VPRA the reps were able to share concerns with SBC officer Nigel Laws(who works as the link between SBC and developers) regarding tree stumps in the slowly developing Town centre, outside ASDA, on the foot path leading towards the doctors surgery. The November meeting of the VPRA had heard from residents concerning the danger these tree stumps held for pedestrians due to poor lighting. Mr Laws accepted the comments and whilst in the long term the trees will be removed and lighting improved he agreed with the VPRA reps that the tree stumps could be painted white. This was carried out today.
